Walk Through Your Hearing Consultation

When you arrive at our office for your scheduled appointment, you will be greeted by our warm and friendly front desk team who will take your key contact and insurance information. They will review your insurance carefully to determine if there is any hearing benefit on your plan. We accept all insurances.

1. Once you are seated, we will check your ears for wax using a state-of-the-art video otoscope.
2. Next, we will place a pair of headphones over each ear and give you a button to press.
3. In the first part of the exam, we present beeping sounds — some louder, some softer. You press the button anytime you hear a sound.
4. In the last part of the exam, we present words and ask you to repeat them back. This allows us to measure your word recognition ability.
5. At the conclusion of the exam, we join you back in the consult room to discuss your results.

Reviewing the audiogram together, we will walk you through your hearing test results. Typically, the results confirm the story about your hearing challenges we initially discussed. We will fully explain your results, how they compare to someone with relatively normal hearing, and answer any questions you may have.

Once you’ve decided to purchase, you will sign a purchase agreement and provide payment to place the order. We apply your insurance benefits to optimize your final cost and accept most forms of payment — cash, check, credit, and no-interest financing to those who qualify.

Your Fitting & Delivery Appointment

We set up a future appointment, usually within a week, for you to receive your new hearing aids. During this fitting, we orient you to your devices, ensure they fit and work properly, and walk you through how to insert and maintain them. Paul and Chris are board certified programmers who will expertly dial in the optimal sound level for your hearing aids.

Ongoing Care

When you are comfortable, confident, and ready to experience the real world with your renewed hearing, we schedule weekly appointments for the next 30 days to address any concerns and make adjustments for sound quality or comfort. We recommend a semi-annual routine check to deep clean your instruments and an annual hearing test to monitor your hearing.

Outside of these routine visits, you’re welcome to walk in or call with any issues or questions. We wish to have a long-term relationship with you — throughout your entire lifetime as our patient, you will receive unlimited office visits at no cost to you. That’s how we’ve been doing it successfully for over 25 years.
